Dubai Sports and Fitness Events 2026–27: Confirmed Dates, From Dubai Run to the Marathon

Dubai's 2026–27 sports season opens with the tenth Dubai Fitness Challenge, from 31 October to 29 November 2026. The Dubai Marathon follows on 17 January 2027. This calendar lists only events whose dates organisers or established media had confirmed when we checked, with the source date for each.

Dubai Fitness Challenge: 31 October–29 November 2026

The challenge asks residents to do 30 minutes of activity a day for 30 days. Its four flagship events, as listed by The National in August 2026:

• Dubai Ride, 1 November: Sheikh Zayed Road closes to cars, with a 4km family route around Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa and a 12km route for experienced riders. Pre-registration is required.
• Dubai Stand-Up Paddle, 7–8 November: free paddleboarding sessions in Hatta.
• Dubai Run, 22 November: 5km and 10km courses from 6:30am. Finish by 9am, when the road reopens. The 2025 edition drew a record 307,000 runners.
• Dubai Yoga, 29 November: a free sunset session at Zabeel Park to close the month.

Emirates Dubai 7s: 27–29 November 2026

The three-day festival at The Sevens Stadium hosts the HSBC SVNS Series rugby sevens alongside netball, cricket, fitness, padel and, new for 2026, Gaelic football. Ticket prices are unchanged for a third year (The National, August 2026):

• Friday entry: AED 75
• Saturday or Sunday day pass: AED 455
• Three-day pass: AED 595

Golf: November and January

The DP World Tour Championship, the season finale that decides the Race to Dubai, is listed for 12–15 November 2026 at Jumeirah Golf Estates on the tour schedule published in September 2025. The Hero Dubai Desert Classic, the first Rolex Series event of 2027, follows at Emirates Golf Club from 21 to 24 January 2027 (Gulf News, September 2026). Next season's DP World Tour Championship is already set for 11–14 November 2027 on the Earth Course.

Dubai Marathon: 17 January 2027

The 26th Dubai Marathon offers three distances: the full 42.195km marathon, a 10km road race and a 4km fun run. It is held with the support of the Dubai Sports Council, and registration is at dubaimarathon.org (TradeArabia, July 2026). Dubai Mallathon: 15 June–15 September 2027

A September 2025 directive made Mallathon an annual three-month event, held every summer from 15 June to 15 September. It is free and open to all. In 2026, six malls opened to walkers and runners between 6am and 10am.
