Free Outdoor Gyms in Dubai's Parks and Beaches

Key takeaways

Al Barsha Pond Park, opposite Barsha Mall, has free outdoor gym equipment including bodyweight elliptical machines, pull-up bars and a callisthenics area. Al Ittihad Park on Palm Jumeirah is free, open 24 hours and has gym equipment beside its running loop. Here is where Dubai's free outdoor exercise equipment is, what it costs to get in, and what is on the way.

Entry prices and hours are from Gulf News's October 2026 park guide; equipment details are from What's On (December 2024), Gulf News and Property Finder (March 2026). Most Dubai Municipality parks close at 10pm, later at weekends.

At Al Barsha Pond Park, the equipment sits alongside a running track, a cycle path and tennis, basketball and padel courts. Al Ittihad Park runs along the Golden Mile on Palm Jumeirah, and its 24-hour access makes it one of the few options before 8am.

On the beaches

Dubai's open public beaches are open 24 hours for their boardwalks, jogging tracks and open gyms, even where swimming is restricted to daylight (Gulf News, June 2023):

Kite Beach (Umm Suqeim 1) has no fixed gym listed in our sources, but What's On (December 2024) lists a rubber-topped running track, volleyball and padel courts and an elevated obstacle course there.

New neighbourhood plazas

In February 2026 Dubai Municipality opened recreational plazas in Lehbab and Nazwah, covering more than 330,000 sq ft between them. Lehbab 1 has outdoor fitness equipment, a running track, two football pitches and volleyball and basketball courts; Lehbab 2 has a running track with fitness equipment. The Nazwah plaza has courts and a running track but no fitness equipment is listed.

Coming next: covered container gyms

In January 2026 Dubai Municipality invited operators to run covered, container-style gyms at three sites: Al Khawaneej Pond Park, Al Barsha South Park and Al Mamzar Corniche (Gulf News). These are designed to shelter users from the weather. Prices, hours and opening dates had not been announced, so they may not be free.
